Mickey's Halloween Party

This week, Scott and I went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We got a lot of candy.

Saw some villains. They danced.
And mingled.
There was a parade.
And more stuff that I don't have pictures of.

Now it is bedtime for me.

Wonderworks

Yesterday, Gretchen and I had a day off together. So we went to Wonderworks.
http://www.orlando-group-getaways.com/orlando_attractions/wonderworks.jpg
It's normally $25 for one general admission, but I got a Groupon that gave us two tickets for $25. It was pretty cool. Basically like a bigger, older version of the Curious Kids Museum in my hometown (kind of a hands-on museum for little kids).

They had some water you could put your hand in to feel how cold it was when the Titanic sank:
A bed of nails:

Bubbles (our favorite exhibit, we probably played here for an hour or so):
And a black light ropes course:
I didn't get very far because I borrowed Gretchen's shoes (needed closed toes and I was wearing sandals) and I was afraid they would fall off my feet.

Then we went back and played with the bubbles more.

Seriously considering getting a kiddie pool and some hula hoops.

SeaWorld

Look! I'm remembering to update!

Exciting things that happened in the last week or so:

Gretchen took me to SeaWorld. There were dolphins (Blue Horizons show)...
and sea lions (Sea Lions Tonight! show)...
and sea turtles (Rescue turtle who is missing her front fin from a shark attack)...
and stingrays (really cool viewing area above your head)...
and fish/coral (pretty and colorful).
We also did the rides and Turtle Trek (The newest attraction). The idea is that you're a sea turtle. It starts with you hatching, goes through some of the challenges you would face throughout life, and ends with you returning to the beach to lay eggs. It's a 3D show, but it's really different because instead of a normal theater, you stand in a room with a big dome for a ceiling. It reminded me of the planetarium at my middle school. The dome is the screen, so when you watch the video, it's all around you and the 3D seems more real. There was a part where a crab really startled me. I actually yelled a little bit (he snuck up on me).

So yeah, it was a fun evening.

Another event of note: I finished my Halloween costume. Yes, I realize it is only the beginning of September, but Mickey already put the pumpkins up around Magic Kingdom.
The pictures aren't that great, but I think it looks pretty cool. I made the bodice/skirt thing and the ruffly shirt.

Obligatory Introduction

Gini has a blog and it seems cool so I think I'll try to make one too. I'll try to remember to post cool things in it, but I might forget. Pictures would be cool too, but I either need to figure out how to do it from my phone or not be lazy and actually put photos on my computer (cords are lame).

Anyways, I'm Chelsey. Currently 25 years old and originally from Michigan. After college, I didn't have a job so I did the Disney College Program.

I worked at Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom for about 6 months, then got a Professional Internship in the Research Department. I got to work on cool projects like this:

Yeah, that's a figurine of me as Cinderella. Pretty cool.

Now I work part time scanning paper surveys for Disney Cruise Line. Not as exciting, but it's a job.

Other things in my life include:

My roommate Gretchen, the cosmetologist and aspiring Disney Cast Member,
my cat Meelo, who is crazy,
and my boyfriend Scott, who is 31 but does not look like it.
I guess that's all for now. I will try to remember to update occasionally.
